Approximate Cost: $0.00

Product Description:

ObjectiveEd Games are games for blind and visually impaired students to practice Expanded Core Curriculum skills and that work with VoiceOver. These games are used by Teachers of Visually Impaired Students, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, and Assistive Technology Specialists.

Main Features:

  • Each game is part of a comprehensive curriculum based on the goals and objectives of a student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).  The game is individually tuned to meet the unique needs of the student, and all members of the IEP team: teachers, therapists, specialists, and parents – can monitor the student’s progress through a web-based dashboard.
  • For visually impaired students, the games and interactive simulations address most areas of both the Core Curriculum (Math, Science, Language Arts) and the  Expanded Core Curriculum, and are fully accessible to both students who are screen reader users and those with usable vision.
  • Our "closed-loop" curriculum technology means that the game monitors the student's progress, continually modifying itself to reinforce skills while engaging and entertaining the student.
  • Practice and master Orientation and Mobility skills:
    • Barnyard: A game for practicing laterality, directionality, clock and compass concepts, and touch & drag.  Dozens of skill combinations.
  • Practice Assistive Tech skills:
    • Speed Gesture: A game for practicing iPad voiceover gestures.  Many skill selections.
  • Engagement Virtual Pet Game: Students are motivated by caring for their virtual pets.  This "engagement game" is connected to all of the above games and "motivation points" are earned through the other games.
