Civikey is a set of open-source software solutions that aims to help people with disabilities to use a computer. CiviKey incorporates a unique mouse pointing method, based on a scrolling system. This, linked to an automatic click system, considerably reduces the fatigue linked to the use of a computer.

Main Features: 

  • Choose the keyboards from a list designed by occupational therapists. 
  • The CiviKey keyboard adapts to all languages: Latin, Cyrillic, Chinese, Arabic characters, all are directly accessible on any CiviKey keyboard.
  • In addition to providing efficient text entry, the keyboard contains configurable keys for:
    • Launching applications.
    • Opening a file.
    • Opening favorite webpages.
  • Scrolling allows users to benefit from the above two functions using any contactor, which makes Civikey suitable for motor-related pathologies such as quadriplegia.
  • A library of keyboards: Civikey's partner occupational therapists provide a library of keyboards. Each of them is specifically adapted to an application and a pathology. Switch between them just to get the most out of a computer.
  • The keyboard editor: Adapt existing keyboards by adding or removing keys. Users can save key combinations (CTRL + S, CTRL + V, etc.) to replay them in the same way with one click.
  • Keyboard import and export: Share keyboards on several computers to use them everywhere.
