ClavicomNG is a virtual on-screen keyboard that integrates the virtual mouse module ( Souricom ) and a word prediction module. This virtual mouse is suitable for people whose disability does not allow the use of conventional or adapted pointing devices. It also includes a speech synthesis. Depending on the options, users can hear the letter typed, the word or even both. And there are 4 modes of contrasts to improve the perception of the keys for users with low vision.
Main Features:
- Adapted to many handicap situations, it allows text entry and navigation on the computer by different click modes ( standard, timed and scrolling/scanning).
- A virtual mouse is integrated into the ClavicomNG. In this way, the user can control the mouse (movement and clicks) through scanning.
- This software can be launched automatically when the computer starts.
- It is always possible to create new profiles to adapt the use to each user. Created profiles, in which all options are saved, can easily be transferred or exported to another place.
- Predefined profiles have been made available (azerty or qwerty keyboard, column scrolling mode, etc.).
- The integrated edit mode allows a user to customize the keyboard or a new creation with different keys such as the creation of characters (letters), phrases, last word, word prediction, shortcuts, an application, and noise.
- There is a prediction mode that works even when using the physical keyboard.
- The dictionary used has been expanded. The word prediction suggests words based on a dictionary (in the language option chosen by the user) and a list of previously entered words.
- It is possible to add an unknown word typed via the first prediction key.
