Eye-D Free

Eye-D assists the visually impaired in independent living by helping them evaluate the world around them with help from their iOS mobile device. The Eye-D app can help explore and navigate to nearby places of interest, evaluate surroundings with the smartphone camera and read printed text.

Eye-D Pro

An ad-free version that can also be used on Android and includes more features without having to leave the app.

Main Features: 

These features are common to all versions:

  • “Where Am I”:  Lists landmarks nearby. Tap the preferred landmark and Eye-D guides to it with directions (currently by opening Apple/ Google maps for navigation).
  • Around Me: Find ATM’s, Banks, Bus stops, Cinemas, Restaurants, Hospitals, Stores and the Religious places nearby. Select the desired category and navigate to the preferred place. Has a search radius controller, anything in the range of 500 to 5500 meters.
  • See Object: Click on this mode, take a picture and Eye-D app will voice what’s in front. Simply swipe right to hear the description again.
  • Read Text: Click a picture and the Eye-D app will read the text.

Eye-D Pro includes these additional features:

  • Read Text Offline (reads Latin based language texts even when not connected to the internet).
  • Eye-D Market.
  • Advanced OCR (Available in Eye-D market for reading multiple languages, sharing, saving the recognized text and many more).
  • Accessible Camera (can use both the front and back cameras to click photos that recognize faces and tell about the lighting condition).
  • New and Improved Around Me (able to check the rating, call a place directly from the Eye-D App).
  • Travel Mode with sticky notification in notification drawer.
  • Improved GPS accuracy with accuracy count.
  • Search Option in Around Me.
  • Scene Recognition in See Object (Coming Soon).
  • New grid layout to make space for more features.
