Headdev" is a facial mouse that allows users to handle the mouse pointer with head movements. It is a standard USB webcam facial mouse that allows full person-computer interaction, without the use of hands, cables, sensors or any other device that limits or interferes with the user. HEADdev is especially aimed at people with limited mobility in hands or arms from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, and muscular dystrophy to help them in the process of social and labor integration.

Main Features: 

  • Free hands. The user does not need to use the upper limbs to move the mouse pointer.
  • HEADdev is a tool that enables human-computer interaction with the following advantages:
    • Comfort: it does not have elements that interfere or limit the movement of the user since computer vision techniques are used.
    • Ease: simple to operate and with a friendly and intuitive interface.
    • Adaptability: adaptable to the limitations of the user.
    • Configurable: Mouse parameters such as the speed of movement as of clicking are configurable.
  • Mouse function bar (called "Event control" in Headdev.) The bar controls the behavior of mouse buttons and enables or disables mouse operation:
    • Click button: Click the primary mouse button (usually the left mouse button).
    • "Click Der" button: Right-click (usually right).
    • "2xClick" button: Double click.
    • "Buttons" button: Disables all mouse click events.
    • "Mouse" button: Disables the mouse control in a facial manner.
    • "Left" button: Left mouse button pressed (drag or select).
