HouseMate is a home control unit that enables people with disabilities to access their smartphone and control their environment.
Main Features:
- Users can operate HouseMate with its built-in switch or they can connect up to five external switches.
- For joystick users, interface cables are available for popular wheelchair controls.
- It is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Pressing a switch starts the scanning on the screen. Launch the HouseMate app to begin environmental control.
- The app uses symbols to represent the appliances in a house. When the user chooses a symbol the control box transmits the corresponding infrared or radio signal.
- Whatever the user's ability there is a way to control their smartphone using HouseMate.
- Accessibility switches, each designed with a particular disability in mind, are all compatible with HouseMate.
- Buddy buttons, sip & puff controls, proximity switches, etc. can all be used to control the device.
- It enables users to use their own wheelchair joystick to control their phone.
- Switch from driving mode to external access and the joystick is now controlling the phone.
- HouseMate apps can be controlled with other input devices such as joysticks and eye-tracking devices. In this case, it acts as a hub for controlling the devices in the home.
- Transmitter beams in every direction and it can record signals from other TV controls and remotes.
- Can be fitted with a radio alarm that can be activated at any time regardless of whether a smartphone is switched on or not. This signal can trigger a pager or a bell.
- Sockets, lights, door openers, and other appliances can be controlled directly from HouseMate’s internal transmitter.
