Product Description:
The MultiKey (Liberator) is a button interface for people with a physical disability that connects to their computer via the USB port.
Main Features:
- Enables users to access all Windows software with separate buttons.
- It has 14 connections (seven on each side) that are used to change the function of the connected button.
- For example, connect a button and the button will act as a left mouse click, do it in another and it will play space bar.
- Other functions: arrow keys, enter, and backspace key.
- To work with several pupils or pupils on a computer with separate buttons, without having to change the software settings every time for each child, the user plugs a button into another hole to change the function of the button.
- Immediately effect changes in the use of separate buttons.
- It has three separately adjustable buttons to fine-tune the use of the individual buttons:
- Acceptance Delay Sets how long the button must be pressed to accept the button action. Important to prevent 'accidents' with buttons pressed too quickly.
- Repeat Rate Set to change the time elapsing between the different presses of the button. This prevents buttons from being pressed one after the other.
- Debounce Time This dial controls how long the user has to wait before he can press a button again. All further activities within this set time are ignored. Handy when a user in a row 'bangs' on the button, for example in the case of tremors.
