Product Description: 

Closed captions are a feature of video that displays what is being said (approximately) in on-screen text. This allows a person who cannot hear the soundtrack (either because of hearing impairment or environmental noise) to understand what is being shown. Closed Captions differ from subtitles in that they may include significant sounds as well as the spoken language. Closed caption decoding has been required in televisions since 1991, but is also available on computers, tablets, and cell phones.

To activate Closed Captions in Android:

Select Settings> Accessibility> Hearing.  Activate Google subtitles.  Depending on your device, you may also activate Samsung subtitles.

To activate Closed Captions in iOS:

Select Settings> General> Accessibility> Subtitles & Captioning.  Activate the control for Closed Captions + SDH.  You can also select the style of the captions here.

To activate Closed Captions in macOS:

Open System Preferences> Accessibility.  From the list on the left, select "Captions."  On the right, choose the style of captions you prefer, and whether to use "Subtitles for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH)" rather than standard subtitles.

To activate Closed Captions in Windows 10:

Open Settings> Ease of Access.  Select Closed Captions from the list on the left.  This will show a set of controls on the right of the window to set how you would like captions to appear.
