Tactile Output Accommodations
Not all output from an information device depends on sight and sound. Many personal devices now use vibration to provide tactile alerts. Others may support tactile display of text. Accommodations for touch include:
- Adjusting the intensity and pattern of tactile alerts can make them as personal as audio alerts for those who depend on sound
- A person who is blind can pair a refreshable Braille display to their device, allowing access to all of the text displayed by touch.
