Product Description: 

GalaPro is a mobile application designed to help individuals with hearing loss access free real-time closed captioning of live performing arts shows, other entertainment or conference venues. It also offers an amplified rendering of the dialogue. 

Main Features: 

  • A digital solution for live shows providing subtitles, dubbing, and amplification to the user's mobile device.
  • Shows in the user's preferred language.
  • The app synchronizes with the show so everything is experienced in real-time.
  • In theater, since the script is usually finalized during the previews, GalaPro will usually be available only during and after opening night. On Broadway, GalaPro services are always available four weeks after opening. In other theaters, users need to make sure to check when GalaPro is available before purchasing tickets.
  • Designed to be used in airplane mode so no phone calls or texts disturb the performance. 
  • It has low screen brightness so that non-users in the audience are not disrupted.
  • Users can select either dark pink or gray lettering on a black background which is by design so that only the individual looking at their device can see it.
  • Users can also zoom in to increase text size on the closed captions.
  • To connect, users need to select the GalaPro Wi-Fi network, then the appropriate show, and finally "Start". GalaPro’s real-time closed captions will start automatically when the show starts using voice recognition.
