Speech Central: Voice Reader is a text-to-speech app designed to help users interact with websites and RSS feeds and picks articles to be read aloud by using headphone or Bluetooth hands-free buttons. The app also makes the web more accessible for people with eyesight disabilities or dyslexia.

  • The app is tested to be accessible with VoiceOver by legally blind users.
  • It can be used as assistive technology and helper for people with visual impairments and disabilities such as dyslexia (a dyslexia-friendly font is included in the app).
  • Bookshare, an accessible online library is integrated into the app.
  • Add a web article to be read aloud from any app that can share a web site link (including any web browser).
  • Sync the web articles list across devices using Pocket and use it to add new articles.
  • Allows users to import various text file formats to be read aloud.
