The WeMo App is an environmental control and home automation app designed for use by people with cognitive or memory disabilities or parents or caregivers of adults or children with developmental or other disabilities that may result in forgetting to turn lights or appliances on or off. The app enables users to control their home appliances and electronics through Wemo devices.

Main Features: 

  • Users can remotely control lights, appliances, and other devices in their house that are plugged into a WeMo Switch as long as they are connected to the Internet.
  • The user can turn the devices on or off, or set a schedule for each device to turn on or off throughout the day.
  • It works with Nest. Using the app, users can control their Nest thermostat to save them from having to switch to another app.
  • Works with Amazon Echo and Google Home.
  • The “Away Mode” feature turns the lights on and off randomly, making it look like the user is home even when they're not.
  • Integrates with the free IFTTT ("If This, Then That") service.
  • Languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
