Product Description: 

The Wireless Christmas Tree Fire Alarm is a portable temperature alarm system that relies on heat sensors-rather than smoke detectors-to provide individuals who are blind or have low vision or mobility disabilities with early warning signals. This battery-operated system consists of one Ornament Sensor/Transmitter and one Remote Alarm/Receiver.

Main Features: 

  • The Ornament Sensor/Transmitter can be placed on the Christmas tree or in any high-risk, indoor location, and the Remote Alarm/Receiver should be placed in a safe location where it will be heard (e.g., above a doorway or near the bedroom) within 90 feet of the ornament.
  • When the Ornament Sensor/Transmitter detects that the temperature in its surrounding environment has reached 150 degrees Fahrenheit, it will transmit a signal to the Remote Alarm/Receiver.
  • The alarm will sound instantly and continuously to alert the user, and the LED light on both the Ornament Sensor/Transmitter and the remote alarm/receiver will turn red and start flashing quickly.
  • The alarm will continue sounding and flashing until the user stops the signal by pressing the reset button on the alarm for one to two seconds.
  • It is recommended that the user place the transmitter and receiver units at a distance less than the maximum range, and to conduct a simulation test of the transmitter and receiver periodically and every time either the Ornament Sensor/Transmitter or the remote alarm/receiver units are moved to a new location.
  • Safer alarms are not intended to be a replacement to smoke detectors, but an addition to home safety setups.
