ZenAwake is an iOS-based alarm clock app designed to gently wake users up within the REM stages of sleep. The application is appropriate for many users, including those with sensory sensitivities, as well as issues with sound noise.

Main Features: 

  • It utilizes low-frequency, progressive, and multiphonic alarm sounds to wake users up when they are most rested.
  • Ten minutes before the user is scheduled to wake up, the app sounds a gentle chime. 
  • The chime increases in frequency slowly over the following 10 minutes to draw the user out of a deep sleep naturally instead of just jarring them awake.
