Reading Assistance

The printed word can be a substantial barrier to some people.  This can be because it is difficult to perceive or decode the printing, or because of limited understanding of what the words mean.  Assistance for reading can be in more than one form.

• For those who are better able to understand spoken language than written, the text can be read aloud.
• If the reader has difficulty understanding specific, unfamiliar words, integrated dictionaries can define the words from within the document.
