Scanner

When the page is placed on the scanner bed, an image is made by moving a sensor over/under the page, or moving the page over the imager.

Document Scanner (Generic)

Various models of document scanners. One is long, thin, and black in color. Another is more rectangular and white, with the paper fed through the top of the device while the device sits flat. A third model is black and resembles a magazine stand, with the device standing upright, and the paper feed being located where a standard printer's would be.
