Printed Pages (books, magazines, etc.)
When a student needs assistance reading the printed page, there are different approaches that can be useful.
Sometimes, the student needs help with an occasional word or phrase, and a “reading pen” can provided the needed assistance in a private way.
Other times, using a document camera to magnify or read the text is helpful. Some of these will also read or magnify slides or actions at the front of the classroom.
If the student is able to manipulate the materials directly, an optical scanner can provide higher quality images and recognition.
