Assistance with Reading

Students who have difficulty reading may find that changing the appearance of the page helps. This might involve changing colors, changing fonts, changing the size or spacing of the words.

• Some students may require assistance in understanding the meaning of occasional words or phrases, and benefit from having those words defined or translated.
• Students with limited language skills may benefit from having text reworded with simpler language.
• Still other students cannot easily process printed words and need the text read to them aloud.
