Note Taking Assistance

An important part of learning is identifying the critical parts of the material to be learned and recording that for future review and rehearsal.  This process is called "note taking," and should be an active process on the part of the student for most effective learning.  

• Notes can be written (typed or by hand) during the lecture or as the material is being read for later review.
• Notes can also be audio, with either the student identifying which parts of a lecture are important as it is being recorded or speaking notes into a recorder during the study time.
